Its base is a 1/2 Dirham, trimmed and lightened to a weight of 0.56g, so we opted for a 1/4 Dirham. On its reverse, it bears a countermark (ط for طيب) "Good," which was probably applied in North Africa by the Merinids, legitimizing the quality of their silver for free circulation within their domains.
