Pseudo-imperial coinage. Suebic Kingdom. Tremissis. Emerita? (Peixido-tipo 14/6). (Núnez Meneses-023 var.). Anv.: OИETA CITOVOSIVR. Draped and diademed bust right. Rev.: Central cross pattée within a double herringbone border, with lateral ornaments (“panels”) resembling a shield; ornament above, with two pellets to the left and the letter E to the right; below, legend OHO. Au. 1,25 g.

Suebic numismatics once again surprises us with an unpublished piece of the “panels” type, bearing a previously undocumented mark.

It displays two pellets arranged vertically in the left panel and the letter E in the right panel. Slight straightened bend and repaired soldering on the reverse. Lightly cleaned.

We are not aware of this mintmark appearing on any other known specimen of the Suebic Kingdom
