Anv.: Head of Athena left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Scylla holding a rudder; neck guard decorated with a palmette, TIMO behind. Rev.: Bull butting right; star and Nike flying above crowning bull. In exergue, ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ. Ag. Missing in all major references works. Only one similar specimen appears in "Catalogue of Greek Coins in the Hunterian Collection. Volume I", page 106, no. 29 (same obverse die, no star on reverse). Slabbed by NGC as AU, Strike: 5/5, Surface: 3/5. Magnificent specimen with original luster. Of the highest rarity. This coin is exempt from any export license fee. Est...2500,00.
