Rev.: (ROM ET AVG, front elevation of the Altar of Lugdunum, decorated with the corona civica between laurels, flanked by stylized male figures; to left and right, Victories on columns, facing one another). Ae. 8,97 g. Countermarks: "AVG" within a rectangular cartouche on the obverse and "VAR" attached within a rectangular cartouche on the obverse. This mark is associated with VARus, Publius Quinctilius Varus, legate in Germania, although other authors doubt this attribution. Very rare. Almost F. Est...60,00.
