Macedon. Alexander III, "The Great". Stater. 310-275 AD. Uncertain mint in Greece or Macedonia. (Price-831). Anv.: Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet decorated with snake. Rev.: ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Nike standing to left, holding stylis in left hand and wreath in right; in left field, ant and below, star. Au. 8,17 g.

Nice fine style, well centered and sharply detailed, displaying a delightful tone. Traces of luster remain. Only a minor incision at 11 o’clock on the reverse, yet still of excellent eye appeal.
